UPDATE: Police arrested Jonathan Johnson, 32, of Pittsburgh was arrested in this incident. He is charged with Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt Homicide, and Recklessly Endangering Antoher Person. 

Just after 5 p.m., off-duty Acting EMS Chief Amera Gilchrist responded to a residence in the 3300 block of Delaware Street for reports of a male stabbed.

Acting Chief Gilchrist grabbed some towels and box of gloves and located a male victim on the porch of a home. 

He had suffered a stab wound to the neck and multiple stab wounds to the back. The Acting Chief applied pressure to the wounds as Zone 1 officers arrived and applied combat gauze until medics arrived.

Medic 10 transported the male to the hospital in critical condition. Rescue 2 also responded.

Police arrested a male on scene. Charges are pending.
