UPDATE: 20-year-old Nyzjayah Majors of Beechview and 16-year-old James Phillips of Highland Park were arrested. Both are charged with Aggravated Assault and other charges. Phillips was arrested under ACT 33 and charged as an adult.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers in Zone 6 responded to the 1500 block of Belasco Avenue in Beechview after several calls came in for shots fired.

They found a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. EMS transported him in stable condition to a nearby hospital.

The male stated he ran to Belasco Avenue to find help after he was lured to a nearby home where actors hit him with a firearm, attempted to rob him and then fired several shots.

Two people were taken into custody for questioning.
