Police Investigate After Male Shot in the Hill District

Summary:
Just after 1 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 received a 9 round ShotSpotter alert for shots fired in the 2100 block of Webster Avenue.
Shortly thereafter, responding units located a male victim inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds to the chest and arm. Officers applied a tourniquet and used tactical gauze to pack the chest wound until medics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
A male actor reportedly fled on foot.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
