Police Investigate Overnight Shooting in the South Side

Summary:
At approximately 2:15 a.m., Pittsburgh Police working in the South Side heard gunshots in the 1500 block of E. Carson Street.
Several officers located a male victim who had run to S.16th Street and Bingham Street. He suffered gunshot wounds to the arm, leg, and stomach. Officers rendered aid until medics could transport him to the hospital, where he was taken into surgery. He was last listed in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.
The early investigation shows that the shots were fired from a moving vehicle. Damage to at least one other vehicle was reported to police.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
