Police Arrest Man for Crash, Aggravated Assault

Summary:
On May 4, the Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested 43-year-old Andrew Nelson.
On 4/29/23, Nelson was involved in a motor vehicle crash at Frankstown and Brushton Avenues.
He left the accident scene on foot and illegally entered a residence where he assaulted a 59-year-old victim, who was initially listed in critical condition.
He is charged with Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Criminal Attempt Burglary, Resisting Arrest, DUI and numerous other violations.
He is in the Allegheny County Jail.
