At approximately 1649hrs. Zone 6 Detectives along with Zone 3 Uniformed Officers were conducting an investigation at residence on Dilworth Street and were in the process of obtaining a search warrant when a known male suspect fled from the residence.   A Pittsburgh Police Officer discharged at least one shot but the suspect got away on foot.   

A search was conducted for the suspect by PBP Officers with the assistance of the K-9 Units.  The Allegheny County Sheriff's drones were also utilized in the search with negative results at this time.  The search for the suspect is ongoing.   

There were no injuries to any Officers on scene and it is not believed that the suspect was struck by gunfire.     

Per protocol Allegheny County Police are investigating and will provide any further updates.
