Police Investigate Shooting in the Hill District

Summary:
At approximately 4:20 pm officers responded for multiple shots fired in the 200 block of Elmore St. When officers arrived, they located a 17 yr. old male victim who had been shot in the ankle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was in stable condition.
Two juvenile males were observed fleeing from the scene by witnesses. The males were located and detained by Allegheny County Police and Pittsburgh Police. Both males were found to be in possession of firearms. Both males ages 15 and 17 were charged with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.
The shooting is currently under investigation.
