At approximately 6:48 pm, officers responded to the intersection of Saw Mill Run Blvd. and Library Rd. for a report of a male being assaulted by two males and dragged into a black Chevy Camaro that then fled the scene.

A short time later Zone 3 officers located the black Camaro on Arlington Ave. and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, leading officers on a traffic pursuit. The driver eventually stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. A perimeter was set up and the area was searched by SWAT officers with negative results.

The victim of the kidnapping and assault was later located near the original scene. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries to his head and leg.
