Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 responded to a six round ShotSpotter alert in the area of E. Amanda Street and Brownsville Road just after 1:30 p.m.

Arriving officers located a male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his right hip area. Medics transported him to the hospital.

A short time later,  a second male victim arrived at the hospital by private means with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. Both victims are listed in stable condition.

The early investigation shows that shots were fired from a moving vehicle toward a group of people on the sidewalk who returned fire. One firearm was recovered from a vehicle that crashed at the scene. The occupants fled the area on foot.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
