Police from Zone 2 responded to a two-round ShotSpotter alert in the 300 block of Elmore Street at 9 p.m.
Arriving officers located a 15-year-old female who had sustained a gunshot wound to her left foot. Medics transported her to the hospital in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene.
The investigation is currently in its preliminary stages. Additional information will be provided if/when it becomes available.
