River Rescue Responds for Body Found in the Allegheny River

Summary:

River Rescue was called to the area of Herr's Island/Washington's Landing at approximately 7 a.m. after boaters discovered a body floating in the water.

The adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene. He is believed to be in his late 50s or early 60s.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.
