UPDATE: Police have arrested Gerald Sanders in this incident. He is charged with Aggravated Assault, Persons Not to Possess, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
He is in the Allegheny County Jail.
Original incident details:
At approximately 12:15 a.m., Zone 1 officers were called to the 1700 block of Hatteras Street for a male shot.
Responding units located the victim down in the street with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet to the wound to attempt to stop the bleeding until medics arrived. Medic 4 transported him to the hospital in stable condition.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
