ARREST:
The Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, and Penn Hills PD arrested Evan Gaither without incident in Penn Hills on Friday, August 11.
Gaither is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possessing Instruments of Crime , Robbery, Persons not to Possess a Firearm, and Firearm not to be Carried w/o a License.
He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Pittsburgh Police VCU detectives have issued an arrest warrant in this case.
Evan Gaither, 37, faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Persons not to Possess, Carrying a Firearm without a License and Possessing Instruments of Crime.
Original incident details:
Just after 4 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 were dispatched to William Penn Place and Sixth Avenue for reports of a male shot.
When they arrived on scene they observed bystanders rendering aid to the victim. Officers continued those efforts until EMS arrived. Medics transported the male to the hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the hip area.
Police recovered a shell casing on nearby Strawberry Way.
There are no suspects or arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
