Summary:
On Friday, June 23, 2023, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to a 1-alarm residential structure fire in the 3800 block of Wealth Street in Brighton Heights.
The fire was located in a bedroom inside the residence. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The exact cause of the fire is still to be determined by the Fire Investigation Unit, but the initial investigation points to lithium-ion batteries that ignited while being charged in a solar-powered, after-market charging system.
