Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 initiated a traffic stop before 3 a.m., when the vehicle fled from officers traveling at a high rate of speed down Michigan Street.
Police terminated any pursuit of the vehicle, which later hit a curb at Michigan and Montooth Street, crashing into a residence in the 700 block of Montooth.
A female inside the home was injured and pinned under the car. She was extricated and medics transported the patient to the hospital in stable condition. Firefighters helped two other residents exit the home safely. They were uninjured.
The Collision Investigation Unit was called to the scene.
Police have one individual in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
Inspectors from Permits, Licenses, and Inspections arrived to determine the integrity of the structure.
