Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Bedford Dwellings

Summary:
Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone Two responded to a ShotSpotter alert, followed by 911 calls, of multiple shots fired in the 2500 block of Chauncey Drive in Bedford Dwellings at approximately 9:40 p.m.
When they arrived on scene they discovered an adult male victim in the ground floor doorway of an apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
He was transported to Mercy Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Detectives from Major Crimes as well as the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene. There are no arrests at this time.
The investigation continues.
