UPDATE: Police arrested 16-year-old Adedjai Edwards of McKees Rocks in connection with this incident. Edwards is charged under Act 33 with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, and Carrying a Firearm Without a License. He was transported to Allegheny County Jail. 

Original incident details:

Just before 5 p.m, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4 responded to the 5000 block of Chaplain Way for reports of an individual shot.

Arriving units located a juvenile male with one gunshot wound to each leg. Officers applied tourniquets to stem the bleeding until EMS arrived on scene. Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition.

A 16-year-old male was detained for questioning.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
