Just after 5 p.m., Pittsburgh Hazmat responded to the 500 block of North Shore Drive in the Allegheny River for a sinking boat that was leaking fuel.
Hazmat teams deployed a boom to contain the fluid spill. There were no reported injuries.
River Rescue - comprised of Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS and Pittsburgh Bureau of Police - provided safety overwatch during the operation and the Fish and Boat Commission was also on scene.
A towing company is in the process of trying to salvage the sunken vessel.
