Male Fatally Shot on the South Side, Police Investigating

Summary:
At approximately 1 a.m., Pittsburgh Police working along East Carson Street in the South Side, were dispatched for a seven round ShotSpotter alert in the 1300 block of Sarah Street.
Responding officers located a male victim in his 30s in the intersection of S.13th Street and E. Carson with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Police rendered aid to the victim with tourniquets unitl EMS arrived. Medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
