Police Investigate Stabbing Downtown

Summary:

At approximately 1:20 p.m, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to the area of Smithfield St. and Seventh Ave. for reports of a stabbing.

Officers located a male in that area with a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition by Pittsburgh EMS.

The victim was not forthcoming with information for police.

The investigation is ongoing.
