Weekend Recap for the South Side Entertainment Patrol and Picklesburgh

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police and their local law enforcement partners – Allegheny County Police and Allegheny County Sheriffs – officially began their dedicated South Side Entertainment Patrol of East Carson Street and adjacent areas over the weekend. 

From Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 23, there were a total of eight arrests, six of them felony arrests with three firearms recovered. Two arrests were by summons.  

Officers issued 45 non-traffic citations, the majority of which were for disorderly conduct, open containers, public urination, and marijuana. There were 12 parking citations and 6 tows

There were 17 traffic stops and 26 traffic citations issued. 

The Nuisance Bar Task Force also conducted compliance checks, issuing 14 violations for one establishment.  

There were no police incidents to report from the Picklesburgh event downtown over the weekend, which recorded a one-day attendance record on Saturday.
