Just after 7:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 were called 425 Forbes Avenue for reports of a male assaulted inside the lobby of the Even Hotel. 

Police and medics attended to a 41-year-old male victim who was unresponsive and bleeding profusely from severe trauma to his head. Medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition. 

The male suspect was quickly apprehended by Zone 2 officers in the 400 block of Smithfield Street and transported to PIttsburgh Police headquarters.

Violent Crime Unit detectives and the Mobile Crime Unit responded to investigate and process evidence.

Heiko-Lamar Calhoun, 26, of Wilkinsburg was arrested and faces charges of Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
