Just after 12 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 responded to two ShotSpotter alerts totaling 36 rounds in the 1200 block of Dickens Street in Crafton Heights.
Officers responded and found multiple vehicles and a house struck. No one was injured. The shots were fired from a newer model Kia Sportage that fled the area. It had license plates that did not match the vehicle.
The vehicle was later spotted on I-376 where it fled from Zone 4 officers and crashed into a house in the 2900 block of Beechwood Blvd. just before 7 p.m.
A juvenile male driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition. He faces charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing and Eluding, and multiple traffic violations.
The front porch of the house was heavily damaged. City building inspectors with PLI will assess the integrity of the structure.
Zone 6 detectives will investigate the shots fired incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
