Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 3 responded to a call of an armed robbery at a Burger King outlet at 2900 Brownsville Road at approximately 7:15 a.m.
When they arrived on scene the store manager told officers that a male and a female suspect entered the restaurant, each armed with a gun, and demanded money from a safe in the back.
The employees were forced to gather in one place near the front of the store.
The suspects were able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money and flee out the back of the building.
No one was injured.
Police are investigating.
