Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 responded to the 900 block of Berkshire Ave. for a fight in the street involving multiple people just after 12:30 a.m.

Officers arrived to find two male victims down on the street with head injuries consistent with being hit with a hammer or blunt object.

Both males were transported to the hospital by medics, one in critical condition, and one in stable condition. 

Witnesses told police the altercation started at a residence in that same block of Berkshire. Officers did a protective sweep of the address and discovered a possible actor hiding inside.

He was transported to police headquarters for questioning.

Violent Crime Unit Detectives later arrested Brayan Salvador, age 21. He is charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

He was transported to the ACJ.
