Pittsburgh Police, EMS, and Fire responded to Broad St. between N. Sheridan Ave. and N.Highland Ave. for a two-vehicle collision at approximately just after 4 p.m.
Witnesses reported to police that a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed hit one vehicle and damaged as many as three parked vehicles.
First responders extricated a male patient whose vehicle had been struck. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable.
The female driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
Zone 5 officers will investigate with the assistance of the Collision Investigation Unit.
