At approximately 2:55 p.m., Pittsburgh Police responded to reports of a landscaping dump truck that had been stolen from 4900 block of Rosetta Street.
Employees of the company witnessed a male get into the vehicle and take off at a high rate of speed. The workers then followed it in a red pickup truck.
Police working in the area observed the stolen vehicle strike three or four vehicles at Centre and S. Graham. Due to the reckless actions of the driver, and out of concern for the safety of the public, officers did not pursue.
The stolen vehicle was located unoccupied a short distance away. Police are searching for the suspect, who fled on foot.
The female driver of one of the vehicles that was struck by the dump truck received minor injuries and was evaluated by medics at the scene. No pedestrians were struck or injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
