Police Investigate Weekend Homicide in City's Lincoln-Lemington Neighborhood

Summary:
Just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 arrived at a residence in the 1500 block of Westmoreland Avenue for an unknown trouble call.
Responding units were met by two juvenile girls who stated their father was upstairs bleeding and that he was not moving. Officers located a male sitting on the floor in the kitchen with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence and Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
The investigation is ongoing.
