Police Investigate Armed Carjacking in Shadyside

Summary:
Just after 11 p.m., PIttsburgh Police from Zone 4 were called to the 5800 block of Elwood street for reports of an armed carjacking.
Responding officers spoke with the victim who told them two males approached him on foot outside of his car, put a firearm to his head, grabbed his phone and smashed it, and searched his pockets for his keys. They then reportedly told him to run away and stole his red Honda CRV. The victim was not injured.
Police are reviewing all available video.
The investigation is ongoing.
