Police, Fire, EMS Respond to Shooting in Homewood

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to reports for a male shot in the 7900 block of Tioga Street at approximately 11:20 a.m.
Arriving units located a male victim sitting on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his hand and abdomen. He was conscious and alert when talking to officers. Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition to undergo surgery.
The Mobile Crime Unit and Violent Crime Unit detectives responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
