At 2:43 a.m., PIttsburgh Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Carson Street for a two-round ShotSpotter notification.

Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a group of females who advised them a male was injured at Roland Way and S.13th Street. Police located a male down in a doorway, suffering from a possible graze wound to the right side of his head. He was also bleeding from a laceration to his mouth. 

The male told officers he and his girlfriend were fighting with an unknown group of people on Roland Way when someone fired two shots at him. He was transported to the hospital by Medic 8 in stable condition. An unoccupied transit van parked in the area was also struck twice.

The suspects reportedly fled in a silver vehicle.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. There are no arrests at this time. 

Zone 3 plainclothes detectives will continue the investigation.
