Pittsburgh Police Robbery Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery at First National Bank in the 400 block of E. North Avenue.
At approximately 12:40 p.m., a male, possibly in his 60's, walked up to a cashier's window and slid a note toward her, pointed a dark object in a plastic bag, and verbally demanded she give him the money from her register drawer.
The cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then walked out of the bank and reportedly began running toward James Street.
No one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
