Police Investigate Business Robbery in Chateau Neighborhood

Summary:
Just before 4:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were called to 1001 Western Avenue for a reported robbery at 7-11.
Employees told responding officers that a male walked up to the counter and demanded all the money from the register and brandished a gun. When they could not open the register, the actor stole items from the store and fled out a back door. No one was injured.
Mobile Crime Unit detectives were called to process the scene.
Plainclothes detectives are investigating.
