Just before 5:15 a.m., Pittsburgh Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Edwards Way after a third party caller told police a known male with outstanding warrants had shown up at a family member's home.
When police arrived, the female half was outside and was not hurt. The male was inside the home and was wanted for aggravated assault and burglary. SWAT operators were called out and attempted to make contact with the male through multiple hails, but were unsuccessful.
The male eventually jumped out a second floor window of the home and ran. He was apprehended by police in the 3100 block of Mary Street following a brief foot pursuit just before 7 a.m.
He was evaluated by EMS tactical medics at the scene before being taken into custody.
