Police, EMS Respond for Body Found in Allegheny River

Summary:

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police and EMS were called to 300 Waterfront Drive for reports of a body found in the Allegheny River.

River Rescue recovered the body of a male in his 20s who was pronounced deceased by medics on scene. 

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. 

The Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
