Police Investigate After Female Found Shot and Critically Injured in Uptown

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to a 9-1-1 call for a female found shot outside of 1605 Fifth Avenue just before 5:45 a.m.
Officers located the female who had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Medics transported her to the hospital in critical condition where she was taken into surgery.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. Detectives will be reviewing all available video footage from the area.
The Violent Crime Unit is investigating.
