Just after 4:30 a.m., Police from Zone 3 were dispatched to the 1800 block of Brownsville Road for reports of multiple shots fired.

Arriving officers located two adult males with gunshot wounds.

One of the males was found with multiple GSWs to his chest/torso and trunk. Medic 12 transported him in critical condition. Immediately upon arrival at UPMC Mercy he was taken into surgery.

The other male sustained a bullet would his torso. He was transported by Medic 3 in stable condition to UPMC Presbyterian.

While the investigation is ongoing, it appears the males were firing at each other.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.

Additionally, just after 6:00 a.m., detectives learned that two adult females arrived by private vehicle to two separate hospitals outside the city limits. They both reported with graze wounds.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are continuing the investigation.
