River Rescue Responds to Body Found in Ohio River

Summary:

Just before 4:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police and EMS were called to the 1500 block of Reedsdale Street for reports of a body found in the Ohio River.

River Rescue recovered the body of a male, believed to be in his 40s, who was pronounced deceased by medics on scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner.
