On November 30, Pittsburgh Police received information from the ATF through PPS Police that a juvenile male was posting videos on social media while posing with firearms, and making threats to Pittsburgh Milliones University Preparatory School.
Pittsburgh Police detectives from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Zones 1 and 2 tracked the suspect to a residence in the 2100 block of Rose Street.
While watching the location, police observed a male leave the residence and get into the passenger side of a U-Haul box truck. When officers stopped the vehicle, the male was found to be in possession of a pistol with a 50-round drum magazine. After obtaining a search warrant for his backpack, police recovered a fully automatic switch for a Glock, ammunition, magazines, and marijuana.
A second male, who was the juvenile observed in the social media videos, later left the residence and got into the backseat of a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle and found the 17-year-old in possession of an AK-47 and two pistols. He was arrested and later released to the custody of an adult family member.
The male from the first traffic stop, Jackiel Young, 18, was arrested and transported to the ACJ. He faces multiple charges.
