Just before 5:20 p.m., on December 4, detectives from Zone 4 attempted to pull over a car for vehicle and licensing violations near the Glenwood Bridge. When they approached the vehicle, the male driver fled from officers, striking a vehicle occupied by a female and a child. They were unhurt, but their vehicle was severely damaged and inoperable.
The suspect vehicle continued on, hitting the back end of a heavy construction vehicle, causing minor damage. The occupants of that vehicle were also unhurt.
The driver of the suspect vehicle took the ramp toward Glass Run Road and eventually crashed. He ran from the vehicle but was apprehended by police.
The female and the child from the first vehicle were evaluated by medics on scene and provided transport home to Baldwin.
No civilians or officers were injured.
Javon Grant, 22, was arrested and transported to the ACJ. He faces multiple charges.
