Summary:

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on December 4, Pittsburgh Fire was dispatched to the Allegheny County Jail for reports of smoke inside the building.

Smoke conditions and a small fire were located in a cell on the sixth floor.

Pittsburgh EMS transported one inmate and two guards to area hospitals in stable condition suffering from smoke inhalation.

Fire investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
