Pittsburgh Police Make Arrest in New Year's Eve Homicide

Summary:
Violent Crime Unit detectives have made an arrest in the December 31, 2023 homicide of Lonnell Newkirk in the 100 block of Maytide Street.
Timothy Debold, 42, is charged with Criminal Homicide, Burglary, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Persons Not to Possess.
Debold was taken into custody by Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit detectives and the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force on January 9, 2024 on unrelated outstanding arrest warrants.
He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
