Pittsburgh Police and EMS Respond to Downtown Stabbing Incident, One Injured

Summary:

At approximately 9:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police were dispatched to the Medic 14 station at 344 Boulevard of the Allies for a reported disorderly person.

Arriving officers located an adult male who had sustained a stab wound to his back. In an attempt to gain the attention of medics, he accidentally shattered the window of the medic station.

The male victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition.

Video footage captured the man coming from the 200 block of Smithfield Street before turning onto the Boulevard.

Zone 2 detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
