Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to a ShotSpotter alert, followed by 911 calls, of shots fired in the area of Centre Avenue at Morgan Street in Terrace Village just after 10 p.m.
When they arrived on scene they found a male with a gunshot wound to the neck and a female who was shot in the knee.
Both victims were transported to the hospital by EMS in stable condition.
Witnesses reported that several people were gathered in a courtyard area in the rear of a building when one or more shooters opened fire before fleeing on foot and possibly into a white vehicle.
The Crime Scene Unit arrived to process the scene.
The investigation continues.
