Pittsburgh Firefighters responded to house fire on the 8000 block of Susquehanna Street in Wilkinsburg around 10:15 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found the second and third floors of the three-story home fully involved. The fire went to two alarms shortly before 11 p.m.
Battalion Chief Dan Herr said it took about 45 minutes to get the heaviest flames knocked down. Crews remained on site past midnight to put water on hot spots.
The home was abandoned so no residents were displaced.
One firefighter was treated for a minor hand injury.
Firefighters prevented any damage to neighboring structures, including a home next door that is separated by a few feet.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshall responded on scene. Wilkinsburg Police, Eastern Area Prehospital Services and the Salvation Army also responded.
