Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 4 responded to the Homestead Grays Bridge for an unoccupied, possibly disabled vehicle in the southbound lanes around 10:15 a.m.
Around the same time, a 911 caller said he was in Duck Hollow when he heard something splash into the water.
River Rescue and the Fire Boat responded to search the area. The Fire Boat located the body of a female and River Rescue pulled the body from the water. The female was pronounced dead on scene.
Police are investigating. As part of that investigation, detectives ask that anyone on the bridge or in Duck Hollow who might have seen anything related to this case call police at (412) 323-7161.
