Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter report of multiple gunshots around 12:50 p.m. on the 1000 block of Brushton Avenue.
Responding officers from Zone 5 found a male gunshot victim. Medics transported the male to a local hospital in critical condition.
VCU and the Crime Scene Unit arrived to process the scene. Police are investigating.
UPDATE: (12:35 a.m., Oct. 5) -- Police have made an arrest in this shooting.
Langston Nelms, 19, of Braddock is charged with two counts of attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, gun charges and drug charges.
He was detained shortly after the shooting, and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
