UPDATE: Police, EMS, Fire Respond to Cyclist Struck by Vehicle in Brookline

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 responded to reports of a cyclist struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Brookline Blvd. at Pioneer Avenue just after 9:15 p.m.

When responding officers arrived on scene they found a male victim who was unconscious. He was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital in critical condition.

The male driver of the vehicle was found to be unlicensed and was detained at the scene.

The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating. 

UPDATE: 9:15 a.m. 10/21/19 The male victim from this incident has died in the hospital as a result of his injuries.
