Pittsburgh EMS, Fire and Police responded to a report of a multivehicle accident on the 600 block of Mifflin Road around 11:30 a.m.
First responders found a 4-vehicle crash with one critical injury.
Per the initial investigation: An 89-year-old female driver struck two vehicles, one of which impacted a fourth vehicle. The 89-year-old driver was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Medics also transported a female from another vehicle in stable condition.
Two cars were towed from the scene. The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
UPDATE: The 89-year old driver died from her injuries at the hospital. 11-05-2019 9:30 a.m.
