Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the McDonald’s on Wood Street around 10:15 p.m.
As Zone 2 officers were en route, additional calls came in about a man who had been punched and was unconscious in the street and a female who had been pepper-sprayed. On arrival, officers located a male unconscious in the street. Medics treated the male on scene, then transported him to a local hospital in serious condition.
Per the initial investigation:
The male and female victims were inside the McDonalds when a female suspect confronted them and an argument ensued. The female grabbed the male and female victims and forced them outside.
A group of females surrounded and assaulted the female victim, which included the use of pepper spray. The male tried to intervene and was assaulted.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who might have witnessed the incident is asked to call Zone 2 detectives at 412-255-2827.
UPDATE (4:42 p.m., Nov. 5): Police arrested Roneese Davis on aggravated assault charges. The investigation is ongoing. Additional charges/arrests will be made public when available.
UPDATE 2 (4 p.m., Nov. 6): Police today arrested Kaniya Martin, 18, of the North Side via summons for simple assault.
